Black Friday: Apple offers discounts on Macs, iPods, more
Apple early Friday morning kicked off the holiday shopping season with its Black Friday deals, offering substantial discounts on Macs, iPods, software, and other accessories. The company is offering $101 discounts on its latest generation "unibody" MacBooks and a $51 discount on its entry-level $999 white MacBook. The company is also offering $51 or $101 discounts on its aluminum iMac desktops, including offering its 2.4GHz 20-inch iMac for $1,148 ($51 discount), its 2.66GHz 20-inch for $1,398 ($101 discount), and its 2.8GHz 24-inch iMac for $1,698 ($101 discount).
Apple is offering more modest discounts on its other Apple products, including $21 off its AppleTV, $11 off its 802.11n AirPort Express for streaming music to speakers, $21 off the 500GB TimeCapsule backup/router device, $5 off the iPhone 3G dock, $11 off the Apple Bluetooth headset, and $5 off the Nike + iPod Sport Kit.
The online Apple Store (as well as retail outlets) is also offering $32 off M-Audio's KeyStudio 49, $202 off Sanyo's Xacti VPC-E2 Waterproof Digital Camcorder, and $102 off the Canon Rebel XS Kit.
For headphones, users can get $52 off Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Headphone and $16 off each of the following: Sennheiser PMX 80 Sport II Headphones, Sennheiser MX 85 Sport II Earphones, and Sennheiser OMX 80 Sport II Earphones.
Apple is offering substantial discounts on Logitech and Altec Lansing speaker systems: the Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere Speakers are now $98 ($32 savings), while the Logitech Pure-Fi Anytime Premium Alarm Clock for iPhone and iPod (Black) is $78 ($22 savings). The Altec Lansing Expressionist Bass FX3022 Speakers are also only $78 ($52 savings) and the Altec Lansing T612 Digital Speaker System for iPhone is $148 ($52 savings).
